evilcougar 0
I just wanted to share this information after I upgraded to nod32 antivirus version 8 recently, my iTunes home sharing stopped working, between windows PC's, Was getting a Loading library spinning wheel in iTunes when attempting to access a shared library. Worked it out in the end, it's to do with "nod32 antivirus version 8 Protocol filtering", it was just silently blocking home sharing in iTunes. Even when I Temporarily disabled protection, in NOD32, it was still blocking. To me disable protection should mean disable protection filtering as well, but appears not the case. To get home sharing to work had to exclude iTunes.exe under "web and email -> Protocol filtering - > Excluded Applications", in Advanced Setup. Also Excluded, under "web and email -> Protocol filtering - > Excluded IP addresses" anything in my local IPV4 and IPV6 subnet. This got iTunes home sharing working again. Administrators Marcos 5,399 Posted December 22, 2014 Administrators Share Posted December 22, 2014 If enabling pre-release updates in the update setup and running manual update doesn't make any difference, I'd suggest contacting Customer care who will provide you with instructions how to create appropriate logs and will convey them to engineers for further analysis.
