Where did the Agent Deployment task go?

On-prem EP Console had a Server task for Agent Deployment. I'm not finding this option in the EP Cloud console.

Is it no longer available? If no longer available, what are the options for deploying the agent and why was this functionality removed?

I recall that ESET PROTECT Cloud has never supported remote agent deployment. Unlike ESET PROTECT on-premise, a server in the cloud cannot initiate communication with remote computers in users' network.

Available options for agent deployment are described at https://help.eset.com/protect_cloud/en-US/?fs_agent_deploy_remote.html.

ESET Remote Deployment Tool - this tool allows you to deploy the ESET Management Agent (and ESET security product) installer packages created in the ESET PROTECT Cloud Web Console.

Group Policy Object (GPO) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) - Use this option for mass deployment of the ESET Management Agent on client computers.

Serious bummer. Remote agent deployment in the EP Console was something we heavily relied on and I wasn't aware that functionality was removed from the cloud solution.

Of course, the alternate deployment tools appear to be Windows-only solutions, so not much help there.

It wasn't removed. It has never been there. Endpoints in a company are behind a firewall and not accessible from the Internet so pushing an installation from the cloud would be impossible.

Poor phrasing on my part, then. Regardless, we had and used that functionality and now it's no longer available.

Of course, nothing is impossible. With an on-prem proxy or bridge that caches all the installation files a task could be relayed from cloud to proxy or similar.
