ESET Endpoint Security has a high disk usage. At times the disk usage goes up to 150 MB/s. Sometimes the PC is fine and working normally and suddenly the disk usage will spike slowing down the whole PC.

I deleted the log file as instructed. The disk usage has been normal since the restart. I will update you if there is any spike in disk usage again.

Please delete C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Security\Logs\epfwlog.dat in safe mode and let us know if it helped.

I am again facing the same issue on multiple PCs and have to keep on deleting the logs to keep the systems running. I have tried to set the Minimum logging verbosity to Errors and even set Delete records older than 3 days. Even then the issue is still there.

Does the problem persist if you uninstall ESET and install the latest version from scratch with default settings?

I'd like to inform you that these issues are occurring on the machines with ESET products installed using the installer from the ESET Protect cloud, which includes some custom policy settings. However, I have another machine on which I installed the product using the standalone installer and activated it with a license key. This machine is not connected to the ESET cloud, and it does not experience any issues. I will attempt a clean installation with the default settings.

Sounds like some of the settings in the policy enable extensive (e.g. diagnostic) logging.

I did not make any modifications to the logging configuration until I encountered the issue. Following your guidance, I discovered that the logs were contributing to the problem. Subsequently, I adjusted the logging settings as previously stated in my reply, specifically by setting the Minimum logging verbosity to "Errors" and configuring it to delete records older than 3 days.

The only alterations I made to the policy included creating some port exceptions in the firewall, adding a couple of local IP addresses to the trusted zone, and implementing password protection for the settings.

Do you have any suggestions for policy changes that I can implement to isolate the problem?
