sdalgl72 6 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 While doing a Smart Scan and leaving my PC to do its thing I noticed that Eset has found some a threat or two (Which are PUPs so I am not to worried). However because I was away from my PC the options to clean had already disappeared. So my question is with Strict Cleaning would that stop this? Also even if Strict Cleaning deletes a file will it still end up in Quarantine so can be restored if ESET gets it wrong?
Administrators Marcos 5,455 Posted December 9, 2014 Administrators Posted December 9, 2014 Right. For every file that is cleaned a copy is created in quarantined so that you can restore it at a later time. ESET has extremely low number of false positives so I assume you'll never need to resort to restoring files from quarantine.

rugk 397 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 And just FYI here you can find more information about the "cleaning modes": How do I change the scanner's default response to a virus detection?
