Panos 0 Posted August 3, 2023 Share Posted August 3, 2023 I have 5 ESET Internet Security licenses on 5 Windows 10 computers A couple of days ago, after the update, one of the computers started having problems: 1. Kee (a firefox module) cannot connect locally to main app KeePass 2. Filezilla FTP Server administration interface cannot connect locally to server 3. Filezilla FTP Server allows data connections only from one specific IP. There is a corresponding rule in ESET Firewall to allow that IP to connect to the server. But it stopped working too. After reading the forums here I did some troubleshooting and noticed some things: The UI is different on the other (working) PCs than the malfunctioning one. WORKING PC: BAD PC: Clicking the troubleshooting I can see Keepass and Filezilla Blocked But when I click the "Unblock" button I get an error Also, when I try to export the Firewall Rules, again I get an error: Before I try to uninstall and reinstall ESET, is there something else i should try? In the meantime I found out that Internet Security was blocking OpenVPN too and I couldn't connect to my office. So I uninstalled-reinstalled it and now it seems to be working. Does switching to the pre-release update channel in the advanced setup make a difference? If not, please carry on as follows: Enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support Reproduce the issue Stop logging Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here. Actually you posted yesterday at 18:15 CEST, ie. shortly after work hours. Every half hour the firewall blocks the entire internet and only a network card reset restores the internet. If v16.2.13 didn't help, then even downgrade should not help so further investigation is needed. Enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support Reproduce the issue Stop logging Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here. However, we strongly recommend that you cooperate and supply logs as requested. Once v16.0 reaches EOL, it will be upgraded to the latest version.
