Chris0 0
Eset Endpoint Protection We have a laptop here (in AD) running Windows 11 pro for staff when they need to work from home for a few days in an emergency. The last time it was used was in May and Eset Endpoint Protection has not been updated since then. Now the notebook should be used again, an update of EPP ran "forever" and was aborted after about an hour, tried again, same result. Then uninstall and try to install the current version with epi_win_live_installer. This starts and aborts without an error message after what feels like 20 seconds. Uninstalled everything via Eset Uninstaller (kb2289 + kb2616), epi_win_live_installer aborts after about 20 seconds without error message. Tips? Thanks Chris
Administrators Marcos 4,838 Posted August 3 Administrators Share Posted August 3 Does the installation fail if you run the ESET Uninstall tool in safe mode and then download and run the latest installer from https://www.eset.com/int/business/download/ ? Chris0 0
A colleague from IT ran the uninstaller in safe mode and then tried the epi_win_live_installer.exe to install it. I had downloaded the epi_win_live_installer from "our" Eset Protect Cloud => Quicklinks ... on 1st August. It also worked without any problems with another complete reinstallation. Does the path via https://www.eset.com/int/business/download/ lead to a different installation file?

EPI installer is a customized live installer generated by ESET PROTECT while the bootstrapped installer on the website was built and published for all users. We'd like to know if it makes a difference if you run the installer from the ESET download page.
