dawei 0
I recently installed an update to NOD32, (not sure what it was before but it's now 8.0.304.0) and on the home screen it says "ESET NOD32 Antivirus has been updated to a newer version. We recommend that you restart the computer." I have restarted 3 times and the message persists. Never had this problem prior to installing the update. I'm running Windows 8.1. My license is good until June 2015. Any ideas? Thanks.
Arakasi 549
Have you tried logging in as admin and restarting? What process to restart do you take? Have you tried a shutdown ?

evil_penguin_17 0
This is happening to me too. I have Windows 8.1, am an admin, and am the only user on this computer. I have restarted multiple times.
rugk 397
Just as a try... What happens when you restart the computer with entering this into a command line: shutdown /r /t 00 or this? shutdown /g /t 00 Edited December 7, 2014 by rugk
Jiinxs 0
In my case I actually only did the shutdown, thinking that it should fall under "restart". So this time I choice restart and now the notification is gone.

rugk 397
Okay great. However "shutdown + start = restart", but if the issue is fixed this way then it's great.
