"Computer Restart" message won't go away?

I recently installed an update to NOD32, (not sure what it was before but it's now 8.0.304.0) and on the home screen it says "ESET NOD32 Antivirus has been updated to a newer version. We recommend that you restart the computer."

I have restarted 3 times and the message persists. Never had this problem prior to installing the update. I'm running Windows 8.1. My license is good until June 2015. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just as a try...

What happens when you restart the computer with entering this into a command line:

shutdown /r /t 00

or this?

shutdown /g /t 00

In my case I actually only did the shutdown, thinking that it should fall under "restart".

So this time I choice restart and now the notification is gone.

You got it, that fixed it for me as well, I was only just doing shutdowns. That's kind of dumb.
