Faizan 0
Can We upgrade through Components Upgrade task?
Administrators Marcos 4,839 Posted July 26 Administrators Share Posted July 26 Yes, please see the 2nd upgrade option: https://help.eset.com/protect_deploy_va/10.1/en-US/va_upgrade_migrate.html There are two principal ways of upgrading your VA: •Using the database pull - upgrades your whole Appliance (the underlying operating system), not just the ESET PROTECT Server. The process is more complicated and requires having two concurrent appliances during the transition period. We recommend using the database pull for upgrading to the major versions or as a troubleshooting method. •Upgrading via Components Upgrade task in the Web Console - the process is more simple and does not require access to the appliance, only to the Web Console. We recommend this procedure for minor and hotfix upgrades. Components upgrade does not upgrade other VA software (operating system, packages needed for proper functioning of ESET PROTECT Server). Faizan 0
Yes i read it, but my question is Is it recommended to upgrade via Components Upgrade task from 9.0 to 10.0 ? Also please let me know if any development work is InProgress for the upgrade of existing virtual appliance ? Our local vendor said do not upgrade now because development work is InProgress for virtual appliance
Administrators Marcos 4,839 Posted July 26 Administrators Share Posted July 26 Unfortunately we have no clue as to what you mean by "development work in progress for VA". The VA available on the download page is a final version and you can upgrade to it by following one of the above procedures.
