massimo_ita 0 Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Hi all, on a PC that is being used in smart-working with the RDP protocol i've this issue. The PC is AD joined (WS2016 ad DC). EP (version in the subject) randomly close the RDP ports. Any suggestion? I'm new to this platform (Eset) Thanks massimo
Administrators Marcos 5,410 Posted June 17, 2023 Administrators Posted June 17, 2023 If you have ESET Endpoint Security installed, make sure to set up the trusted zone properly. RDP is allowed in the trusted zone by default.

Administrators Marcos 5,410 Posted June 19, 2023 Administrators Posted June 19, 2023 Please elaborate more on what you would like to accomplish or what issue you are having. Are you unable to connect to another machine in the LAN via RDP? If so, check Known network in the Network protection setup and try to change its type from "Use Windows setting" to "Trusted network".
massimo_ita 0 Posted June 19, 2023 Author Posted June 19, 2023 i've a PC in the lan (domain joined) that randomly the RDP stop working. I've seen that if i disable Eset endpoint it start to work again. I'm new to the Eset platform. Which default policy do you suggest me to apply on the LAN's PCs? I guess there must be an active polity to be able to customize settings. "Antivirus massima protezione - scelta consigliata" (Antivirus maximum protection - recommended choice) In the lan i must use RDP, i've file servers, CAD, and so on.. Am i right? Or is it possible to make a policy only for one PC (the one with the issue) Is Eset endpoint maybe closing RDP due to security reasons? How can i verify this? thanks massimo p.s. about email notifies i've found, i must activate "follow" to receive them
