Today there is a problem with Eset

When do I share files my sharing tab not responding

the problem when work seeting public network . It was working fine yesterday, but now is not working

Public setting will lock down your shares. ESET is just doing it's job. HOME setting will enable file sharing.

ESET Sounds good sharing on public network ,So it is always with me

But after the end of the updates signature my sharing tab stop "Blocking Incoming NETBIOS"

and working fine in allow sharing setting

In any case I would suggest you to upgrade to the latest version of ESS.

 

Please make sure you have set the sharing setting to "home network". You can see and change setting under "Setup → Network → Change the protection mode of your computer in this network" or in the advanced settings.

 

Then you should see the protection mode:

FYI: NETBIOS is an API (sometimes also called as a protocol) that is (also) used for the Windows network sharing.

NetBIOS [...] provides services [...] allowing applications on separate computers to communicate over a local area network.

However there are of course used other protocols (which sometimes depend on this API) for sharing a resource too.

So Why was working a couple of days and now stopped after updates signature ، When I delete and re-install the program without updates The program works well

How do I do that

1, Open the Rules and Zones editor.

2, On the Zones tab, double click "Trusted zone".

3, Click "Add address", select "Range" and enter the address "192.168.1.0" and subnet "255.255.255.0".

Now working fine Trust Zone in public network sharing ، and showing this message in setup rules and zone

A recent inquiry ، Why resort to work with "Trusted zone" that supposed to work without

[rugk 397]

So when does it display this message? When you have selected "public network"?

If so it's by design, because if you're in a public network you (respectively somebody else) shouldn't be allowed to access your files from another computer in the same network through file sharing.

This should only be allowed in a private network.

Sorry to open the topic again

I discovered something else

My friends ESET devices installed them 6 or 8 files stopped optimal Sharing too

I have noticed that the file-sharing broke down on 17 in this month when receiving daily updates of the program
