dsalzedo 0
I have multiple instances of Windows Updates failing on Windows Server 2012 and 2012R2 with ESET File Security v4.5.12015.1 installed. The symptoms are that Windows Updates start downloading but never complete downloading, showing either 0% or some apparently random % of download complete. No error message is ever given, no ESET activity is logged and mutliple reboots and other Windows Update troubleshooting methods fail to resolve the issue. Temporary disabling of ESET does not help, neither does disabling Protocol Filtering/SSL scanning in Advanced settings. The only fix I have found so far is to completely uninstall ESET from the client, run Windows Updates, reboot and then reinstall ESET. Windows 2003 and 2008 systems with the same build of ESET have been able to install Windows updates fine. Can anyone else confirm if they are having the same issue, and if so if they have found a fix yet? I also have a ticket open with ESET support but so far no response after sending them log files earlier today. Thanks, Daniel.
Administrators Marcos 5,281 Posted November 26, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 26, 2014 Hello, does temporarily renaming C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ehdrv.sys in safe mode make a difference?
