ESET Nod and causes Chrome downloads to hang

Hi , 

Recently I'm facing a problem when i download something using chrome browser , the file downloaded 100% then it is stuck for a while and during this period i can't open the file and have to wait long before chrome finishes . 

The problem didn't exist a week ago , and it happened suddenly .

So i tried to pause  ESET protection for 10min and tried again , and the problem was solved ! 

So what could be the possible cause of this problem ? what option prevent chrome from finishes file download and pause it until security checks are made before the user can view his file ?

Does it happen when you download small files? E.g. if you download an Office document? What ESET product do you have? If ESET Smart Security, do you have proactive protection set to block execution until the result of analysis is received? Does the same happen with same files downloaded via a another browser?

Yes the problem as you describe it exactly , happens with small files .

And yes I'm using ESET Smart Security and proactive protection set to block execution until the result of analysis is received 

and yes it happens with all browsers . 

Any suggestions ?

Please sign up first as this quick question forum is not meant for reporting and troubleshooting issues.

Then carry on as follows:

1. Enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support
2. Enable also advanced operating system logging under Tools -> Diagnostics -> Advanced in the advanced setup
3. Launch a browser and download a small file not bigger than 1 MB.
4. Stop logging
5. Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here.
