How to unsync a folder from one drive but it is still accessible on my pc

Guys don't delete this post even though it's not in the right forum. Microsoft forum takes a long time to answer that's why I post it here. My one drive is syncing desktop and documents and downloads. How can I stop it from syncing and have the files from documents on my pc without getting deleted?
