What is ESET Forwarder?

My Eset Antivirus just updated to version 16.1.14.0 and I couldn't help but notice that now a new process is running in the task manager called "efwd.exe" aka ESET Forwarder. Before the update the only Eset services running in the background was egui.exe, erkn.exe (ESET Service), erknEpfw (ESET FIrewall Helper) and such, but I haven't seen this one before. May I ask what Eset Forwarder is used for?
