massimo_ita 0 Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Hi all, is there any way to automatically have firewall activated after installation of the package: PROTECT_Installer_x64_it_IT_desktop.exe (agent + endpoint) thanks regards massimo
Administrators Marcos 5,458 Posted March 31, 2023 Administrators Posted March 31, 2023 Please elaborate more on the issue. The firewall as well as other modules get enabled as soon as you activate the product.
massimo_ita 0 Posted March 31, 2023 Author Posted March 31, 2023 as you can see the product is activated, but it still require the firewall component to be manually updated i've a lot of PCs to manage, i'd neet this to be automatic thanks massimo
Administrators Marcos 5,458 Posted March 31, 2023 Administrators Posted March 31, 2023 Didn't you install ESET Endpoint Security while being connected via RDP to the machine?
massimo_ita 0 Posted March 31, 2023 Author Posted March 31, 2023 Ah ok, this happens when i install the package connected with RDP?

Correct. Endpoint installs with the firewall inactive so that you can create the necessary rules or set up the trusted zone, otherwise it might cut your RDP connection.
massimo_ita 0 Posted March 31, 2023 Author Posted March 31, 2023 i've set in the firewall rules (i'm new with Eset platform) as "known networks" the local IP class, i guess its sufficient, since right now i've no issues of this kind
massimo_ita 0 Posted April 4, 2023 Author Posted April 4, 2023 Is there a way from the Eset console to activate the firewall post-installation on these PCs? thanks massimo
