IvanL_5306 1 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 I uploaded samples to OneDrive and shared the link to samples[@].eset.com. Is it true that the ESET malware submission system no longer supports third-party links?
IvanL_5306 1 Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 Due to Gmail's security policy, I had to use OneDrive to keep the actual extension of the samples.
Nevermind 8 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 You got a reply from an ESET malware engineer and asking here on a public forum if he is right .. do I understand it correctly? IvanL_5306 1
Administrators Marcos 5,735 Posted February 13, 2023 Administrators Posted February 13, 2023 Nothing has changed. We've always needed actual samples in order to analyze them and possibly add a detection. Hashes are not enough if we are unable to find and get the appropriate file.
itman 1,921 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 The solution to these e-mail submission issues is to submit samples via Eset Context Menu opttion:

I packed the samples in an archive file and uploaded to OneDrive. Get the shareable link and submit it to ESET.
