Handian 0
Hi.. How ESET can protecting our data from ransomware? Is there any special configuration on ESET product to protecting from ransomware?
Administrators Solution Marcos 4,717 Posted January 9 Administrators Solution Share Posted January 9 ESET uses ESET LiveSense, a set of multi-layered technologies to protect you from new threats, including ransowmare. For more information about these technologies, please read https://www.eset.com/int/about/technology/. Default settings are best for most users, however, you may want to set malware detection to aggressive to improve detection of new threats. However, this may slightly increase the number of false positives. Also you could create HIPS rules to block script interpreters, such as PowerShell, csript, wscript, etc. if you don't use scripts. Last but not least, it's important to keep in mind that there's no security solution that would detect 100% of threats while keeping the number of false positives low. itman 1,542
I also recommend creating Eset suggested firewall rules against ransomware: https://support.eset.com/en/kb6132-configure-firewall-rules-for-eset-endpoint-security-to-protect-against-ransomware .
