Weety 6
I have installed the latest CSP (6.0.14.0) and have issues with Airdrop on Yosemite I cannot airdrop from my Mac to my iPhone unless I disable CSP's firewall However the iPhone can see the Mac for airdrop from applications I added a rule to allow Continuity to work locally, but airdrop still seems to have issues These issues do not occur if I use apple's firewall (and have CSP uninstalled) Anyone else having issues with Airdrop ? Most Valued Members planet 232 Posted October 28, 2014 Most Valued Members Share Posted October 28, 2014 Yes, I was having similar issues with Airdrop and ECSP even on Mavericks (which was limited with Mac to Mac only). The Mac without ECSP could see any other Mac fine, but my Mac with ECSP installed couldn't see any other Mac device.
rugk 397
Does it worked fine with ECSP 6.0.13 before? Edited November 19, 2014 by rugk

Without ESET installed Airdrop works fine With it installed it first objects to AWLD0 and UTUN0 devices (it thinks they want DHCP), if I say these are HOME network it still occasionally falters, and AIRDROP does not work both ways (Mac -> iPhone and vice versa) As it stands ECSP definitely needs work around Airdrop/Handoff/Continiuity I'm currently running without it as it's become too much of a hassle to work around it when issues occur

This might mean that the next build of ESET Cyber Security (and Pro) will also have the same results. I don't know if it is just a coincidence or if they specifically tested Airdrop lately, but happy to see it working again and hopefully soon for home users too. Most Valued Members planet 232 Posted October 1, 2015 Most Valued Members Share Posted October 1, 2015 An update from the previous post - Airdrop is working with ECS & ECSP 6.1.12.0, just like EES for OS X.
