ESET Inspect 1.9.2404 has been released

ESET Inspect and ESET Inspect Cloud 1.9.2404 have been released.

General Availability for cloud: gradual roll-out in waves on 22nd and 23rd of December 2022, 2nd and 3rd of January 2023.

  • Integration with the LiveGuard Advanced cloud sandbox

  • Detection Rule engine improvements

  • Ability to Report Incident as an action available in the Rules syntax

  • Ability for Endpoint Detection types to be matched in the EI Rules

 

Detection capability improvements

  • Monitoring of selected Win API calls

  • Canary files utilization for enhanced detection of Ransomware behaviors

  • Detection of multiple similar network events in a row (previously considered as "duplicates")

  • Signals about potentially suspicious events from Firewall and Network protection layers

  • Ability to detect events of writing to and modifying multiple files

  • Link between URL connections and dropped files (for improved investigation of Incidents)

  • Ability to detect setting file attributes ("SetFileAttribute") on Linux

  • Ability to detect and investigate a process deleting its files

Response capability improvements

  • User Logout as a new action

  • Submit files to LiveGuard Advanced analysis as a new action

Other improvements

  • "Remember this device" for login when using 2FA (on-prem)

  • Executable certificate signature verification method

REST API improvements (on-prem)

  • REST API now enables Incident Management capabilities

  • REST API now allows searching for Executables and their metadata
