In another topic you wrote that the automatic upgrade should start in about one month after the release (24th of November 2022). It's about two months and the automatic upgrade still won't upgrade the old version :(

Of course I can force it manually, but my expectation is that the automatic upgrade will work without any problems.

We are going to release a hotfix for Endpoint v10 soon which will contain further optimizations and fixes in the Outlook plug-in and some other fixes. That said, auto-update will take place in 2-4 weeks after the release of the hotfix.

So every time you release a hotfix or update, the auto install gets pushed back? If that's the case, then theoretically, the auto-update may never happen. What's the purpose then? IMO you need to shorten the auto-update time interval, or do away with them altogether.

Quality and users' satisfaction matter which is why we endeavor to deliver products that won't cause new issues to you and other users.

Upgrading our security products to a version which has known quirks and which could cause new issues to our users is something we want to avoid, therefore automatic updates are enabled with a reasonable delay after no bigger issues have been reported with the particular program version.

We understand that some administrators may have already tested the latest version in their environment and are ok with immediate enrollment before automatic update is enabled by ESET. We are working on a solution that will enable that.

But AV 10.0.2034 was released on the 24th of November, eight weeks ago. And the auto-update is still not working. As @LesRMed said - in theory, the auto-update can never be used. Maybe you should add an option in ERA to manually specify when the auto-update should happen after the new version?

The appropriate update files must first be published in the repository. As I wrote, we are working on adding the functionality to enforce autoupdates from the ESET PROTECT console before they are enabled globally for all Endpoint users.

That sounds great @Marcos👍

This functional we really need.
