Mromeroq 1 Posted November 19, 2022 Posted November 19, 2022 Hi everyone, is there a way that i can have one PC to only have access to internet but cant see anything on our LAN. They want to have a single device for watching the world cup.
itman 1,807 Posted November 19, 2022 Posted November 19, 2022 (edited) Windows 10/11 by default uses the Win firewall public profile. Eset by default uses Win firewall profile when setting up its network connection. This can be verified by reviewing network connection details and noting that Protection type is set to "Use windows settings." Additional references to the network connection in the context of the Eset GUI will show the network connection is untrusted. Eset default firewall rules are auto setup based on the network connection protection profile. For an untrusted network connection, only device specific network addresses are allowed Internet connectivity. Additionally, LAN access other than to the router and DNS servers is prohibited. For example, file sharing is not allowed. Edited November 20, 2022 by itman
Kliebor 0 Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 If your router supports it (and the PC is wireless) put the PC on the guest network, by default most routers have a wireless guest network with no local lan access.
