Nod 32 EKRN cpu spikes

Im currently running Nod 32 anti-4. Windows 7.  Im having issues with EKRN.exe spiking about every 5-10 min to 45-65% and then drops down to normal running percentage. Anyone else have an issue like this?  It studdards my music when playing in the background and also studdards the mouse pointer on the screen.

Do you have v7 or v8 installed? Does temporarily disabling protocol filtering in the advanced setup make a difference?

If "Nod 32 anti-4" is = V4 then you should upgrade to a newer version and see if that solves the problem. Problems found in older versions is fixed in newer releases.

I run SS8 not NOD32-what is normal memory usage? Seems like I've been running about 100,000K Private working set and 115,000 working set Ekrn. I've seen a lot of discussion on this and maybe I missed the answer.

Yeah that is perfect, to not say exactly where it should be. Around 90-115mb is normal.

 

It was way up to 280mb last night for me, so I am eager to try out a fix and hopefully confirm it solved
