John Dow 5 Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 I saw in another thread that a screenshot taken for ESS (I think) showed, hovering on the tray icon, also the information about the virus signature update. I mean that under "Eset NOD32 Antivirus 16.0.22.0" appears also something like "Virus signature update: 26223 ...", just in the place taken by the message "startup scan in progress" that you can see below. It was this way in old EAV version 8, why isn't it anymore shown in version 16?
Administrators Solution Marcos 5,451 Posted November 8, 2022 Administrators Solution Posted November 8, 2022 It was removed years ago. Now in the era of cloud and streamed updates, the engine version number doesn't matter much and the product version number is more important to show. John Dow 1
John Dow 5 Posted November 9, 2022 Author Posted November 9, 2022 I found the thread I was referring to Why "Modules were successfully updated" in the Update section is not present in my EAV 16 (see below)?
Administrators Marcos 5,451 Posted November 9, 2022 Administrators Posted November 9, 2022 You are looking at wrong settings. In the advanced setup navigate to Notifications -> Desktop notifications -> Edit. John Dow 1

"Engine version" is not posted on national TV , so we are aware of..... John Dow 1
