My NOD32 antivirus v8.0.301.0 uses 50% of my CPU.

I'm running Windows 8.1 (64bit), Core i5-4210, 8GB RAM

Solution was to disable the graphical user interface in the advanced setup

OK, but it isn't a good solution to have that bad interface now...

Here is what it may look:

Please reenable the graphical user interface and provide us with the following information:

  1. Does it always have 50% CPU usage or only sometimes? If sometimes on what actions does it happen?
  2. What VSD version do you use?
  3. Try to restart your computer. Does it happen again?
  4. Create a dump file of egui.exe and maybe also of ekrn.exe and PM it to a moderator.
  5. If you want to tray a temporary solution downgrade to v7 and look if the issue even happens there. (but only do this after you did the other steps)

@MaXimus

That is an issue. Of course this isn't normal.

ESET NOD32 8 normally uses nearly 0% CPU usage if you aren't running a scan.

Oh ok, I just formatted my laptop actually, I'll install it and report back so we can see if it's a problem related to his PC or NOD32 v8 itself. Please give meh some time
