Problem with Dropbox syncing [fix]

ESET NOD32 Internet Security
Version: 16.0.22.0 | Windows 10, 64-bit

Dropbox not syncing resolution:

On the left side of ESET Internet Security click the following:

Setup --> Internet protection --> Web access protection (click its gear icon)

Click on the WEB AND EMAIL link on the left side

Under PROTOCOL FILTERING ---> Excluded applications, click on Edit

Include all of the directory paths for the executables in reference to Dropbox:
(dropbox.exe, dropboxupdate.exe and dropboxclient_version#.exe

Click on OK and OK again to finalize the settings.

To allow C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Client\Dropbox.exe to communicate through the firewall of ESET NOD32 Antivirus:

Setup --> Network protection --> At Firewall click its gear icon and click 'Configure'

Under Advanced --> Rules, click on 'Edit'

If C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Client\Dropbox.exe is not added in the list click 'Add' and ensure everything listed below applies:

In the General tab:

Name: Dropbox
Enabled: check
Direction: Both
Action: Allow
Protocol: TCP & UDP
Profile: Any profile
Logging severity: None
Notify user: blank (unchecked)

In the Local tab:

Port: blank
IP: blank
Zones: Trusted zone
Application: C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Client\Dropbox.exe

In the Remote tab:

Port: blank
IP: blank
Zones: Trusted zone

I don't think the above steps are needed for the Dropbox client to work. For instance, in automatic mode the firewall allows all outbound communication and block all non-initiated inbound communication, ie. a Dropbox server would have to contact the client first in order for a firewall rule to be needed.
