ESET HOME account to an in-use subscription

I have an ESET Internet Security subscription on my laptop, but it doesn't have an ESET HOME account connected to it! My question is, that i can connect an ESET HOME account to an In-use subscription or not? If i can, the subscription will be removed or i can still use it?

Via the ESET HOME portal you can manage your licenses and devices. Just add your license key in the license manager or connect your ESET product with your ESET HOME account.
