Spam mails going through after ESET Software Update

Recommended Posts

Guest netzorange

Dear forum staff/members,

I updated my ESET Server Security on an Exchange Server a week ago - exported the config, uninstalled eset, installed the new version and imported the config - and eversince

we are getting hundreds of spam mails daily, even without attachments. i've been going through all settings and did quite a few changes, nothing helped. I did reset all settings to standard for now.

What could be the issue? Do I have to connect ESET with the Exchange somehow? Are the standard settings not strict enough?

Please check if you are getting direct cloud communication errors in the Event log. The server must have communication with ESET's cloud servers allowed on TCP/UDP port 53535 for antispam to work effectively: https://support.eset.com/en/kb332
