ESET Staff Mark.James_UK 2 Posted October 1, 2014 ESET Staff Share Posted October 1, 2014 Just to clarify the serial is only used ONCE, once its used you will receive a username & Password for future use. so: Serial for a 1 year 1 user license: Install product > Activate using serial > keep email for future re-installation or upgrade. Serial for a 1 year 3 user license: Install product > Activate 1st machine using serial > Activate Second and third machines using the username and password emailed to you > keep email for future re-installation or upgrade. Arakasi 549
You can purchase multiple seat licenses, and receive 1 username and password (or serial). You cannot purchase 1 seat license and expect that username and password (serial) to work for both. You will get an activation error, or at the time of updates they will fail, and you will cease to have the latest protection or scanning database. 1 alternative is that this is primarily for updates and cannot be used simultaneously. You can switch between PC's and this is how migrating licenses works, but they will never work together at the same time. Best to just purchase a 3 user license, or 2 seat if a business. rugk 397
BTW: There are also multi-device packages available, which you can use with different ESET products and on different devices.
