Accidently canceled initial scan after update. Is my Eset doomed?

I accidently cancelled my intial scan after an update and I was wondering if a smart scan would be satisfatory for this situation or is my eset going to be screwed up?

You didn't do anything wrong, Files are scanned also by real-time protection on access and also during any other on-demand scan. The first time scan is good to calculate hashes of files and to determine their reputation and whitelisting status to prevent unnecessary repeated scanning.
