RPC is blocked by ESET Endpoint Security

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are using ESET Endpoint Security. When we were using Windows Firewall RPC was working fine. After NOD32 Eset Endpoint Security, RPC is partly blocked so it is not usable. In the config we have enabled - Also evaluate rules from Windows, but RPC is still blocked.

Default NOD rules have RPC enabled so I don't know what else I could do.

Please carry on as follows:

  1. Enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support
  2. Reboot the machine
  3. Reproduce the issue
  4. Stop logging
  5. Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here
  6. Provide information about the IP addresses involved in the blocked communication.

We also recommend opening a support ticket so that the case is properly tracked.

I did that but the maximum attachment size is 100MB, logs size is around 250MB. I replied to this post with the link to WeTransfer with the logs but that post was deleted.

How can I attach the logs?

Please open a support ticket. The support personnel will ask for logs and provide you with instructions where to upload them, or upload the logs to a file sharing service and include a download link in the report.
