labynko 2
Hello. I installed ESET Endpoint Security 9.1.2051.0 without any web and mail scanning components, but the program reports a problem: "Anti-Phishing protection is disabled". 2022-07-19-23-53-35.mp4
Administrators Marcos 4,285 Posted July 20 Administrators Share Posted July 20 Please provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector as well as a screenshot of the warning that you're getting. Please bear in mind that keeping Web protection disabled may cause ESET not to stop new borne Internet threats from reaching the machine. Administrators Marcos 4,285 Posted July 24 Administrators Share Posted July 24 Web access protection is disabled, ie. the computer is not protected against Internet-borne threats: However, Anti-phishing is not disabled. Neither is the application status for disabled anti-phishing:
labynko 2
The protected machine does not have Internet access. I understand what web protection is for. When all web protection components are not installed, the anti-phishing status cannot be configured.
Administrators Marcos 4,285 Posted July 25 Administrators Share Posted July 25 So all you have to do is disable application statuses for anti-phishing in the above setup screen. Or you can leave Web protection enabled even on offline machines; disabling it would have no benefits like more free RAM, lower CPU consumption, etc.
labynko 2
First of all, I would not want this error in future versions, since a similar problem is already encountered a second time (in the previous case, the problem was with the status of another component that was not installed). Now, of course, the easiest way to solve the problem is to install all the "required" components and disable them through policies.
Administrators Marcos 4,285 Posted July 25 Administrators Share Posted July 25 You have a solution - disable the appropriate application status so that disabled anti-phishing is not reported.
