Outlook Issues with version 9.1.2051

Recommended Posts

FYI, the settings I mentioned above are working for us at the moment. Outlook performance is ok using 9.1.2060.0. So to summarise, this is what we have configured.

Special settings:
Attachment handling optimization: enabled
Advanced email client processing: disabled

Email to scan:
Received email: enabled
Sent email: disabled
Read email: disabled
Modified email: disabled

To quote developers: Disabling "Advanced email client processing" disables some of the new features which may help resolve some issues with slow accounts.

We believe that the latest version of the Outlook plug-in which will be included in the next Endpoint v10 hotfix scheduled for Jan 2023 will eventually resolve the performance issues without the need to disable plug-in settings.

Can you provide us an update with this release please and how we can verify of the new version deployed ?

We are finalizing the service release of Endpoint v10. When released, you can send a software install task to clients to upgrade them to the latest version or wait 2-4 weeks until it upgrades automatically if you have automatic program updates enabled.

Hi! We have updated our endpoints to v10.2034, but as the days are passing by, we are getting more and more complains from employees about Outlook freezing/lagging. Is there going to be another update/fix?

Still the same here with v10.2034. Now it's 2 month without Outlook protection for a lot of customers. When your release the next version ?

Please carry on as follows:

  1. With Endpoint 10.0.2034 installed and Outlook not running, enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support
  2. Launch Outlook and reproduce the issue
  3. Quit Outlook
  4. Stop logging
  5. Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here.

Has anyone tested 10.0.2045.0 yet and if so, what is your experience?

Version 9.1.2060.0 seems to work for most of our users, as long as we configure the settings I mentioned further above. However, 10% of our users are still having problems regardless (they use Outlook 2016 and have a few shared mailboxes added). We had to go back to version 9.0.2046.0 as their Outlook kept freezing.
