Higgidy Roscoe Smith 0
We have an ESET Protect Server connected to the internet that serves OFFLINE clients so the upgrade to ESET Endpoint Antivirus/Security 9.1.2051.0 has been done using an MSI delivered via GPO. All policies were working fine on previous version (2046) and we were doing updates via a mirror folder on the server. (Product updates must be done via GPO as we are airgapped). I rolled out ESET Endpoint Antivirus/Security 9.1.2051.0 to a few clients and all were getting these errors (I can provide logs but not on forum): Edited July 6, 2022 by Higgidy Roscoe Smith Cosmetic
Administrators Marcos 5,273 Posted July 6, 2022 Administrators Share Posted July 6, 2022 This is a known bug in the current version of Endpoint v9.1 when updating from a network share via SMB. A workaround is to make the file accessible via http and setting the update server path accordingly. The bug will be fixed in the next service release of Endpoint v9.1 probably this month. I did try deploying via Apache Http but couldn't get it to work but I guess we can wait for the next release if it's that soon. Thanks for the reply. Administrators Marcos 5,273 Posted July 6, 2022 Administrators Share Posted July 6, 2022 Strange, updates via SMB are usually problematic while updates via http have always been seamless since no authorization is required by default.
