Virus Signature Database Update Difficulties

Hi,

My ESET Smart Security says that "virus signature database is out of date" but when I try to update it holds for like 2 seconds and says "update is not necessary" even though my ESET is still red saying it's out of date.

I tried to clear update cache but that didn't work either. Anyone got a suggestion how I can fix that?

-Current Virus signature database: 10432 (20140917)

-System date and time is OK

-My advanced update setups are "Always update program components" and "Never restart computer"

-I turned off the notifications about succesful updates

we have an almost identical issue. product is licensed, username and password is correct but the server will not update beyond the 30/9/14 release. continually tells us that the database is up to date.

Having same problem exactly.  Is my virus signature up to date or not?  What do I do to resolve this issue?  Is my computer protected?
