ESET Endpoint Antivirus for macOS 7.1.1700.0 has been released. The current version is available only for managed environments from the ESET repository. ESET Endpoint Security will be released later.

  • IMPROVED: Handling of system notifications in case of many detections

  • IMPROVED: Performance of scanning when evaluating performance exclusions

  • IMPROVED: Performance of scanning when cleaning a large number of infections

  • IMPROVED: Memory resource management when detecting a large number of infections

  • IMPROVED: Scanning of Email files present in Threatsense parameters is enabled by default

  • FIXED: Application shows alert about Web and Email protection even though it is disabled via PROTECT policy

  • Other minor improvements affecting performance, security, stability, and usability

 

Known issues

 

Upgrade to Latest Version

  • Product doesn't have all the features from v6. Please see detailed comparison in product bulletin
  • Product supports re-installation over currently installed version 6
  • Product does not transfer existing configuration and configuration is restarted to defaults
  • Product will need to be re-configured by creating new policy in ESET PROTECT and choosing product "‪ESET Endpoint for macOS (V7+)"
  • It's required to reboot the system after upgrading to version 7 and before allowing Full Disk Access for the main app. (only when upgrading from v6 to v7)
