Microsoft Installer error every few hours

Hello,

 

It started like a week ago, on all our windows servers where we have ESET File Security every few hours (3-4) there is an MSIEXEC message in the  Windows event log with the following message:

Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: ESET Server Security. Product Version: 8.0.12013.0. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: ESET, spol. s r.o.. Installation success or error status: 1624.

We have no any install tasks running for these servers.

I tried the upgrade from ESET File Security version 8.0.12013.0 to 9.0.12012.0, but other than one of my DC no longer booted, no change.

 

Could you kindly help why we get this?

I'd check dynamic groups in ESET PROTECT if you have a software install task set to run upon joining the dynamic group. Or you have a software install task scheduled to run in a certain interval.

I don't have any specific tasks, just double-checked on the web console.

 

On the servers in the ESET logs I don't see any actions.

How did you initially install ESET Server Security on the server? By sending a software install task? Please provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector for a start.
