Can i swap renewal licence for new licence?

Hello, I have just purchased Eset Internet Security licence for 3 years in online shop.

Unfortunately I didn't see that it is actually a renewal and as it Was non physical purchase I can't return it.

I would like to exchange it for new licence, I can pay the difference etc. or maybe there is another way to make it around?

I can't use my key for activation purpose as it pops up as renewal. Very much appreciate any help, thank you!

If you received a license key I assume it should work also for activation on a machine not having ESET installed before.

What error do you get when you attempt to use it to activate ESET?
