Latest update broke my trading software

I think there is a possibility you've been the victim of a windows update breaking something. It is possibly when it has been trying to update the .net framework in the background. Then when you've installed visual studio it has fixed the .net files that the windows update has broken.

My laptop did not have updates on 5/3. The last update was on 4/12.
