Internet Security slow update freezing computer and firewall non function

I recently upgraded to Internet Security on my Windows 10 device, which worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now it's saying the firewall and other features are non functioning and I should restart, but nothing happens after restarting, it still does not function. The system tray icon and the app both also say the program is constantly updating. This is also causing my laptop to run extremely slowly. What should I do? Will reinstalling help? Thanks!

Please provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector for a start.

obviously, now I've asked the question, it's started working fine... I had to do a manual restart after the whole computer crashed, but now there is no issue with the firewall, and it is no longer perpetually updating.
