Administrators Marcos 4,189 Posted April 3 Administrators Share Posted April 3 Detection exclusions should be used to exclude a particular detection by name, e.g. when you use a particular potentially unwanted or unsafe application deliberately. On the contrary, performance exclusions are meant to be used as a last resort to resolve performance issues caused by scanning. We prefer using process exclusions to performance exclusions which is a safer way of solving performance issues if caused by one or a few processes that are known to not launch malware.
