Windows Defender Question

Recommended Posts

Using Smart Security 7 on Win 7  64bit PC. I notice that Windows Defender panel says that Real Time Protection is ON. Should this be running alongside ESET and if not how do you disable Windows Defender? Any help appreciated.

I agree, I also recommend to deactivate the real-time protection of Windows Defender to improve the performance if another AV is installed.

This is True, but if you open MSconfig/Services- You will see that Defender is still running/slowing your computer, and  Win updt will still download Defender!

This is how I finally was Completely rid of Defender-

Reboot (releases all files, and do this Before Any Install/Uninstall/...!), then Open Defender/Tools, and untick Every box in All the left box modules.../ reboot.

Then open Services, Right click on Windows Defender/Properties, and Disable.../Reboot.

Done!
