Guest Hadi Posted March 13, 2022 Share Posted March 13, 2022 Hello there everyone. I installed Eset nod32 internet security ver.15 last night and activated and updated it right away. There is a simple but interrupting problem. The real time protection can not be disabled temporarily. Even though I am the only user and I am the admin, the app tells me that I dont have enough permissions to make changes. I tried rebooting, reinstalling, changing the windows, even running windows troubleshoot and yet, the problem persisted. the only thing that helped was clicking on egui.exe and enableing "always run as admin" option in compatibility menu. now the antivirus does not start with the windows and I have to start it manually. Any suggestions? P.S. I have been using eset for over 8 years now and this is the first time this came up! Link to comment

The issue sounds like a problem with UAC on your Windows. I'd suggest opening a support ticket for troubleshooting but I'm afraid it won't be possible to resolve it without reinstalling Windows.
