Hello,

I am looking to create a generic xml file that contains the most suitable antivirus configuration and that is a balance between protection and performance without using the console. I'm also looking for a configuration that avoids the user to respond to messages that the antivirus may display. Does anyone have this kind of file or is there a best practice for this?

Thank you for your answers

Default settings provide are suitable for most users. What you could do to improve protection:
1, Set reporting/detection level to "aggressive"
2, Enable detection of potentially unsafe applications
3, Use extra HIPS rules (https://support.eset.com/en/kb6119)
4, Use ESET Dynamic Threat Defense with proactive protection

Also I'd recommend locking real-time protection and HIPS settings via a policy.
