Will enabling "Automatic product updates" also mean that End Points will be automatically rebooted?

No, Endpoints will not be rebooted automatically. A program components update will be downloaded and prepared but it will be installed only after the next restart of the machine. If a machine doesn't restart for a long time and we release a newer program update, the latest one will be installed after the reboot.

Hey Marcos, when you say that the program update will be downloaded and prepared but not installed, does this mean that when the machine restarts and the install takes place that it will need rebooting again to provide protection? Or does the machine boot with the new version installed and protecting the system so no subsequent reboot is needed?

The latter is true, no other restart will be needed for the new version to work.

Yes. Automatic program updates work in a way that they are downloaded first and installed only after the next computer restart. Until then, the computer is fully protected by the currently installed version.
