Administrators Marcos 4,694 Posted December 6, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 6, 2021 Try switching the firewall to interactive mode and create permissive rules when asked about the communicaton.
jrenna 0
If left in interactive mode, users complain of mass spam messages from ESET asking for permissions.
Administrators Marcos 4,694 Posted December 7, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 7, 2021 Use interactive mode just for a while until the necessary permissive rules are created.

Interactive mode should only be deployed long enough to create required firewall rules for the problematic apps. The mode should then be switched back to Automatic mode. jrenna 0
We could do that to grab the rules to set/allow once switched back into Automatic mode. Seems odd though, that ESET default profiles block MS Teams & Slack, these are enterprise apps that need to be able to communicate. Does ESET work in any capacity with MS or Slack to get these common enterprise app ports/ips used?

No. It's up to users to create inbound permissive rules for applications. By default, in automatic mode all outbound communication is allowed and all non-initiated inbound communication blocked. ESET Insiders rekun 41 Posted December 8, 2021 ESET Insiders Share Posted December 8, 2021 We do not use slack but are heavy users of teams, and automatic mode has always worked for us. Are you sure you do not have a conflicting policy?
