SSL/TLS Protocol filtering Breaks Video streaming playback on several video streaming platforms

Recommended Posts

Some of the video  web addresses are : https://rumble.com   https://brandnewtube.com/  &  https://odysee.com/  Disabling  the filtering  allows playback of content   as does using the built-in free VPN in opera There are several adult  streaming sites also affected by this

Videos will load and start to play  then at some point STOP ,(not buffer) and  only by closing the tab or browser  will the video play  again   or if using opera enable the VPN  the default browser is Firefox

I was unable to reproduce the issue, the playback was always fluent. If you can reproduce it easily, please raise a support ticket and provide step-by-step instructions how to reproduce it. If temporarily disabling protocol filtering makes a difference, enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support prior to launching a browser and reproducing the issue. Afterwards disable logging and collect logs with ESET Log Collector for perusal. These logs should be requested by customer care.

we have a similar problem with video content on monday.com ... when protocol inspection is disabled, everything works fine, when enabled, no video content is being displayed properly, mostly stops or never starts.

is there a way to exempt certain domains from checking https streams?

You can exclude certificates, IP addresses or applications from SSL filtering in the SSL filtering setup:

Anyways, I'd recommend raising a support ticket so that we can try to reproduce it on our end and pinpoint the root cause of the issue.
