P Hurdle 0 Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Is there a way to deploy Antivirus Exclusions to multiple systems at once using the cloud?
Administrators Marcos 5,462 Posted November 18, 2021 Administrators Posted November 18, 2021 Yes, as long as you use ESET PROTECT Cloud to manage ESET Endpoint on clients.
P Hurdle 0 Posted November 18, 2021 Author Posted November 18, 2021 I am using ESET Protect Cloud. I thought I found where to add exclusions as shown below. but I keep getting a message stating "Extension is Invalid" when I go to add it. I am unsure of why this doesn't work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Administrators Marcos 5,462 Posted November 18, 2021 Administrators Posted November 18, 2021 You have attempted to exclude file extensions from scanning but entered a path instead of desired extensions. Anyways, this is not how exclusions should be done. Detection exclusions should be made on the Detections panel from the right-click context menu. Be sure to exclude only potentially unwanted or unsafe applications that you intentionally use. Do not exclude actual threats. If you are unsure if it's safe to exclude a detection, feel free to ask. You may also want to create performance exclusions. This can be done in a policy: We recommend using performance exclusions only as a last resort to resolve a specific performance issue.
P Hurdle 0 Posted November 18, 2021 Author Posted November 18, 2021 I probably wasn't clear on what I am trying to exclude. I would like to deploy exclusions for paths to my workstations from the cloud. Thanks
Administrators Marcos 5,462 Posted November 18, 2021 Administrators Posted November 18, 2021 Please provide an example of "a path to a workstation from the cloud". It's unclear what you mean.
P Hurdle 0 Posted November 18, 2021 Author Posted November 18, 2021 on all workstatoins, I would like to exclude the following paths from Realtime Protection: \\srv1\apps\* \\srv1\dentrix\* \\srv1\dtxcommon\* C:\TW\* C:\Program Files\Carestream\* C:\Program Files (x86)\Carestream\* I hope this helps. Thanks
Administrators Marcos 5,462 Posted November 18, 2021 Administrators Posted November 18, 2021 As per my instructions above, create performance exclusions via a policy:
