Guest Dude58
Hello, i have a trial installed EIS on Windows 10. this was running with no problems. A received noticed from Windows i could download Windows 11. After installing this new Windows 11 i had constantly about 5% when opening Taskhost from Windows. when i uninstalled Eset it was normal back to 0. i did a normal Windows uninstall in App and Features for Eset but did not help. i used the special Uninstall tool in safemode but did not help. i did the repair option but did not help. in short i have uninstalled Eset and did a factory reset of my laptop. i would like to ask if a Upgrad comes for Windows to version 11 should i uninstall Eset first and install afterwards back again to avoid such problems ? to be honest i am now a little scared to use Eset trial again............. regards Link to comment
Administrators Marcos 5,242 Posted November 9, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 9, 2021 It is not necessary to uninstall ESET prior to upgrading the operating system. In order to investigate the issue, please sign up for this forum and re-post in the appropriate product subforum. Also we recommend raising a support ticket so that the case is properly tracked and that you get a response in a timely manner. mallard65 1 Link to comment
Guest Dude58
hello Marcos, thank you for your reaction. i have done a factory reset of my laptop and currently back on Windows 10. this causes no issues with the trial of EIS. if i upgrade to Windows 11 and the issue shows up again of 5% CPU i will contact local support and sign up for the forum as you suggested. greetings Link to comment
Administrators Marcos 5,242 Posted November 10, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2021 There's an option to enable advanced OS logging in the advanced setup under Tools -> Diagnostics which serves to diagnose performance issues. Technical support should instruct you to generate this log and then collect logs with ESET Log Collector. Link to comment

Administrators Marcos 5,242 Posted November 10, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2021 Use the home / office profile at home. It will also allow sharing between computers in LAN. Link to comment
