this has been happening for quite a while now

eset livegrid servers cannot be reached

have reset windows firewall to defaults, deleted all rules, nothing changes

why has this not been fixed with any updates?

we shouldnt have to modify any settings on our modems/routers when everything else on the internet is working fine

please advise, because this is now a product that is not functioning properly

The problem is not with ESET's servers but something is preventing ESET from connecting to the LiveGrid servers.
It could be your firewall, router or ISP that is causing the issue.

If you are able to reproduce it easily, carry on as follows:
- enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support
- reproduce the issue
- disable logging
- collect logs with ESET Log Collector and provide the generated archive.

Had this also a few days ago, but for me it was due to the OpenVPN software, this had to be released again in the Eset Firewall, although there the rule has existed for a long time, so probably not all firewall settings are really taken over by the v15.

If you had firewall rules older than 4 years before upgrading to v15 and you upgraded before Oct 27, we'd recommend resetting to default settings to make sure that all rules and settings work ok. Alternatively you could uninstall v15 and install it from scratch.
