NuclearSSD 3
I have noticed but chose not to question that some tasks when run seem to be instant, when before we used to have to wait for the PC to check in (every 15 minutes in our current policy). Has something changed? Or do I need to investigate further?
Administrators Marcos 5,271 Posted October 27, 2021 Administrators Share Posted October 27, 2021 Unfortunately it's too little information to tell since we don't know how you scheduled the task. If you used the trigger ASAP, it should be run ASAP. I, for one, am not aware of any delay there in the past.
NuclearSSD 3
All of our tasks were delayed by the amount of time in the agent policy to connect back in. If you are saying that this is not the case, then why have this setup ? We used to set install tasks and could clearly see nothing happening until the check in time. ESET Staff MartinK 384 Posted October 29, 2021 ESET Staff Share Posted October 29, 2021 Actually there was indeed a change (not sure now whether since version 8.0 or 8.1) where we attempt to transparently use "wake-up" call to deliver ASAP tasks immediately. This mechanisms is used only if certain conditions are met, for example only small amount of targeted devices (under 10).
